Happy Valentines Day

The Garden Club was happy to make rose bouquets for the housebound in Arlington, Sunderland and Sandgate who receive Meals on Wheels by delivery. Small pinkish/red roses and baby's breath (Gypsophila) were arranged into red bags, with a small heart tag. In the photo, Teri is arranging the fresh roses and baby's breath into moistened oasis foam in cups which were then placed into decorative paper bags.

A special thank you to Meals on Wheels and their driver, Bill, for bringing our small bouquets into the homes of our neighbors to help brighten this winter holiday. The club makes one project for Meals on Wheels each quarter. If you would like to volunteer or help with this year-round project, please contact us. We especially need spools of thin ribbon for these small bouquets, and cut fresh garden flowers or wildflowers.
